Shortly after lunch a telephone alarm came into the station reporting mulch on fire next to 26 Cranberry Brook Dr. Telesquirt 3290 arrived with 20 by 10 area of mulch next to the garage with no exposure problem. The trash line was stretched and the fire was quickly extinguished.

A Shift: Auto on Route 33
Just prior to the end of shift on Friday members from the A Shift were alerted to respond to 490 Route 33 for a car fire. 3290 arrived to find a fire in the engine and passenger compartment.

B-Shift: Car vs Pole
Members from the B-Shift were alerted for a Car vs. Pole in front of 502 Stagecoach Rd. The B-Shift arrived to find one patient out of the vehicle with no injuries. Members investigated the utilities at 502 Stagecoach and found no damage. A downed tree was removed to allow traffic to flow. Upon the arrival of the utility company and the tow truck, members were requested to remove the section of the vehicle that was attached to the guide wire.

A-Shift: One pinned at Olde Noah Hunt & Rt. 526
As the A-Shift was sitting down for lunch firefighters were alerted to respond to Olde Noah Hunt & Rt. 526 for a motor vehicle collision with entrapment. Within minutes they arrived to find one victim still trapped requiring the roof and door to be removed. Extrication was complete in under 10 minutes and patient care was transfered to the arriving Millstone FAS.

B-Shift: Trailer Fire in Allentown
At 17:36 the station was alerted to respond mutual aid to Allentown for a trailer fire. The engine and the tanker arrived to find a trailer full of hay on fire. Members were directed to place a second line in service and to assist the Engine from 82. Members remained on scene for the next two hours extinguishing and overhauling the stubborn fire.

B-Shift: 2 Hours, 2 Cuts
At approximately 0900 the station was alerted for a Car vs. Pole on Route 537. Members from the B-Shift arrived shortly thereafter and began patient care and the side removal of both sides of the vehicle. The removal of both patients was complete in under 15 minutes. After returning to the station and completing a clean-up on the rescue tools, the station was alerted to 280 Millstone Rd for a Car vs. Pole at 1006. B-Shift firefighters were on scene within 4 minutes and found a van that struck a telephone pole, went through a fence, and ended up in a field. After an initial size-up, initiation of patient care, and removal of the drivers door, the patient was turned over to EMS for transport. On a side note this was the 5th and 6th extrication for the year for the B-shifters.

B-Shift: Joint Training with Local 3874
Once again on Thursday morning members of Local 4388 and Plumstead Township (New Egypt) Local 3874 had an opportunity to conduct some joint training at the acquired structure on Red Valley Rd. Training included The SCBA confidence course, the discussion of RIT procedures, and some joint training evolutions that covered line placement, VES, and RIT.
